a Graeco ἅρπαξ; Α᾿ρπάγη Euripidi,
Σαίρειν ςιδηρᾷ τῇ τε μ᾿ ἀρπάγῃ δόμους:
Ξυςτὴρ Hesych. Festo genus est rastrorum ferreorum, quod plures habet dentes ad extirpandas herbas in agris: hincque quod rapiat et verrat quae in tetta serpant inutilia, et sic agrum purget ac mundet, nomen accepit. A cuius instrumenti similitudine occatorias quoque crates seu rastra dentata, quibus occabatur ager ad glebas comminuendas, et exaequandas, Rusticos irpices vocasse, docet Serv. ad illud Virg. Georg. l. 1. v. 95.
